Autumn Winter 09 the hair, and make up to swear by...

A little way back to the eighties, Oscar de la Renta, has brought back the ARISTOCRATS look, typical Maggie Tatcher, with Highly textured up-dos, created by layers of enthusiastic backcombing pinned over a bun. The look has been borrowed by few other NY designer this season and is yet very strange but still Interesting and fits and suits the look brought to us this autumn winter.

when it comes to make up i will have to go back to Donatella Versace once again. Pat McGrath (MUA) did something interesting and simple, nothing original or spectacular but very statementy, The SMOKY EYES are back!!! we've seen them quite often on the runway this season, and it always looks great no matter how often its ben used!

My personal preferance is the make up trend by Lisa Eldridge for Osman Yousefzada's collection. BBC.."Block, Bright, Colours" ultra modern, futuristic, innocent and highly delicate created with an acid yellow at the corner of the eye, giving that pop sci-fi look, complimented with orientally blushed cheeks and a subtle touch of metallic shimmer on the wing of the eyelids.i love!!

MIX AND MATCH wats wrong with that its beautifull! !! !

MARC JACOBS by Marc Jacobs @NYC Fashion Week Fall Autumn Winter 09

Marc Jacobs is not my favourite designer for nothing! this season he got out the mixing match once again and i absolutly love IT !!! dannng !!!. As the fashion Journalist Nicole Phelps describes him on style.com ... this season he went for the mad mix of hiking boots and woolly socks, striped tights, blanket scarves, and felt Molly Ringwald hats, his models looked more like junior mountaineers. the collection was showing a serie of argyle or intarsia sweaters, belted oversize herringbone sports jackets, baggy wide-wale corduroy shorts, union suits, and a striking red windowpane-plaid dress with pointy shoulders. I can not wait for autumn winter this year to come...im getting ready ALREADY to show off my Marc Jacobs flex around the streets of either New York or London ;)

i just love it, its almost *style in the tramp city* , it looks really cool, a nice mixture of high fashion but yet relax and but still well though of... here is a couple of photographs above, but the collection had much more diversity, with prints, and shapes, the styling amaze me and i have to admit was the first thing that striked me, when looking through the collection. The Handbags as well were really cool...i just see the whole thing as very confortable and trendy.

these are the main models i kept seeing around and hearing about on t.v , magazines, voques, etc... and as we discussed about during my lecture at uni , these models have strong, male features, which we believe were the "IT" thing the last seasons, the question is will it still be in the seasons to come? or will they look for the opposite..."curvy, softer look, pretty look"?
well obviously these models will still be on the catwalk and etc, but i mean for the models to come will the strong feature look still be in ?

whY nOt curvy?

This year Milan fall AW 09, Fashion journalist Sarah Mower, describes Donatella Versace's Models slightly more curvy in an article on style.com. And even goes to say that those models were the ones looking the best in these clothes.
"Restrained wasn't quite the word for it, though. Daywear out of the way, Versace dealt out dress after dress, long and goddess-y or short and covered in plastic paillettes. Best in class were the one red dress and a nude, bugle-beaded gown, fit for a thirties movie siren. It all went on a bit too long, but funnily enough that gave time for the eye to observe some changing aesthetics. Noticeably, it was the girls who could fill out the dresses who looked best in these clothes—and knew it. To see Carmen Kass, Coco Rocha, Isabeli Fontana, and the newly (slightly more) curvy Lily Donaldson work these dresses with visible confidence was an encouraging reminder that, yes, some things can get better with age." Indeed, the garments looks amazing on those light curves, and this might be a sign for a possible change in the next season - maybe the next 'thing' will be models with curves since we just had the 'masculine' models *jordan dunn, Chanel Imane, Agyness deyn* wouldn that be GREAT :D.
Also since the world is at the feet of recession, all designers have been using very skinny models recently, and this antic is getting somewhat a bit boring, it could be interesting and very ironic to have models with a bit more curves...
